Returns & Refund Policy

Your options if an order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, and your consumer rights.

At Plate Studio, we take great care in manufacturing high-quality, personalised road legal number plates to your exact specifications.

As our products are custom-made, they are generally exempt from cancellation and return rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order:

  • Arrives damaged during delivery;
  • Contains a manufacturing fault; or
  • Has been produced incorrectly due to our error,

please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Where appropriate, we will provide a replacement or issue a full refund at no additional cost.

2. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled and refunded only before production has started.

Production begins once payment has been received and, where applicable, your proof of identity and proof of entitlement have been successfully verified.

Once production has commenced, orders cannot normally be cancelled as the products are personalised.

3. Non-Refundable Orders

Refunds or replacements will not normally be provided where:

  • The registration entered during ordering is incorrect.
  • An incorrect plate size or option was selected by the customer.
  • The delivery address supplied is incorrect.
  • The customer changes their mind after production has begun.
  • A request is made more than 14 days after delivery (unless your statutory rights apply).

4. How to Report an Issue

Please email support@platestudio.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the problem

We aim to review all claims as quickly as possible and will normally respond within 2 working days.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

5. Returns

Where a return is required, we will provide instructions before the item is sent back.

Return postage costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged or has been supplied incorrectly due to our error.

6. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing within this Returns & Refund Policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
