By law, we must verify both your identity and your entitlement to display the registration number. You'll need one proof of identity, such as a driving licence, passport, utility bill or bank statement, and one proof of entitlement, such as a V5C log book, V750 Certificate of Entitlement, V778 Retention Document, V11 Vehicle Tax Reminder or V948 Number Plate Authorisation Certificate.

UK law requires all registered number plate suppliers to verify the identity of anyone purchasing road legal number plates. This helps prevent vehicle identity fraud and ensures number plates are only supplied to authorised individuals.

Once you've placed your order, simply log into your Plate Studio account and upload your proof of identity and entitlement securely against your order. All documents are encrypted, stored securely, and retained only for the legally required period.

We offer free UK standard delivery on all orders, with same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm. Delivery typically takes between 3–5 working days after your order has been manufactured and dispatched. Need your plates sooner? Choose Express Delivery for £5.99 at checkout — orders placed before 2:00pm (Monday to Friday), subject to successful payment and, where applicable, verification of your proof of identity and registration entitlement, are manufactured and dispatched the same working day for next working day delivery.

During checkout you can choose from several fitting options: No Fixings, Self-Adhesive Sticky Pads, or a Screw Fixing Kit (including coloured screw caps). Our fixing kits make installation quick and straightforward.

Yes. Most customers fit their new plates themselves using either self-adhesive pads or screws, and installation usually takes only a few minutes. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before fitting adhesive pads.

Yes. All Plate Studio number plates are manufactured using premium automotive-grade acrylic and UV-resistant materials to withstand everyday weather conditions, fading and general road use.

Yes. We manufacture road legal JDM import plates, oversized plates, short plates and motorcycle plates that comply with the relevant UK regulations where applicable.

If collection is available, this will be confirmed during the ordering process. Otherwise, all orders are securely packaged and delivered throughout the UK.
